Growing your own Arabica coffee plant is a rewarding experience! These plants start at around 30-40 cm in height but can reach an impressive 2 meters when mature, adding an intriguing touch to any garden. With intensely fragrant white flowers reminiscent of their cousin the gardenia, they eventually yield coffee beans after about 3-4 years, although you might see a small flush of beans as early as year 2.
If you live in an area prone to frost, don't worry. You can still grow an Arabica coffee plant by placing it in a sheltered spot. A large pot works well for this purpose, allowing you to move the plant to different locations as needed, whether it's on your patio during warmer months or inside when temperatures drop.
